From the first chapter to the last, I was intrigued by the tale of two sisters after the untimely and tragic death of their parents. The characters are so vivid clearly defined, I felt I knew them. She weaves much of the lives of the sisters with many thought provoking experiences they endure. having an older sister who raised me, I could identify with the younger sister - in many ways, the author is right on target for the interactions between siblings - when one acts like the mother - the other like a child.Product details

I just received my copy of Keira's Story and I can't wait to dig right in. Bunny Shulman is a terrific and insightful writer. Her stories are always fun and romantic and full of unexpected moments. I am excitedly anticipating that Keira's Story will be the perfect summer read!
Bunny Shulman's novel takes the reader through horrifying incidents of death and despair with a vivid portrayal of the shattered lives of two sisters. The main character, Keira, having matured beyond her years, partly as a result of her situation, feels obligated to raise her little sister when their parents die in an avalanche on a skiing trip. Keira's lifetime dreams of becoming a successful artist, wife and mother are pushed aside as a result of her new responsibilities. The torment she feels as she submerges her need for love and career satisfaction is painted with such an intimate look at a young woman's turmoil, as she recognizes the devil that her sister has become, is so moving, you will not want to put the book down. I was amazed at the way the story propelled me to keep guessing at how Keira would emerge from her multiple heartaches.
The tension never wanes. With a strong finish to a strong story, Ms. Shulman proves she can write like a champion.
I have read all of Ms Shulman's books, and this one was my favorite. A woman should always be true to herself, this story shows the struggles we may have, and will we or won't we do what is right. Keep on inspiring, Ms. Shulman.

Ms Shulman writes beautifully. Her descriptions are evocative and characters jump off the page. Kiera's Story kept me riveted to the end with a huge surprise to top it off.
